Leapin' Lizards!!

I took the boys to Columbia to visit my friend Laura and her 2 girls (and her hubby!). We took the kiddos to an indoor playground place called Leapin' Lizards. Michael and Delainey had a great time. I tried repeatedly to get Michael to sit still for a picture, but he was just too busy. Sam and Jacqueline sat and watched all the fun. We had a great time!!!

2 Months Old

I can't believe that 2 months have gone by since we welcomed Sam. I hope that by the time I post his 3 month birthday he'll be sleeping through the night. What do you think? Am I over ambitious? :)

Smilin' Sam

Sam has been smiling for almost 2 weeks and thanks to my in-laws it has finally been caught on camera!! Isn't it the most precious thing?!! They got this shot while babysitting Sam so we could take Michael to the beach.

I think the first smile is so great because when it's 4 am and I'm tired and frustrated all he has to do is grin and my heart just melts. It's all worth it.

First Library Visit

I find it a little sad that I am an early childhood teacher with a masters degree in reading and literacy and my oldest child has never visited the library before today. He has so many books at home it never really occurred to me to take him. I don't know why I never took him before. It's a free activity and it's air conditioned!

Michael had a wonderful time! He was amazed at how many books there were. He immediately set out to find a book about fishies and pirates. This is definitely a trip we will make again!
